Using a GPIB PMC Card With a cPCI Bus

Hardware: GPIB>>Plug-in Controllers>>PMC-GPIB

Problem:
Is it possible to use the National Instruments PMC GPIB card on a system with a cPCI bus form factor? I want to use this setup because of the smaller form factor of the cPCI bus.

Solution:
It is possible to interface a PMC type GPIB card on a cPCI bus structure by using a 32bit carrier. Carrier cards that accept PMCs are usually made in the Eurocard format, which includes single, double and triple-height cards and cPC cards

PMC is a bus type that enables manufacturers to offer products that are compatible with the well-established PCI bus, but in a smaller and more robust package than standard PCI plug-in cards.
