What Should I Do When I Get the Message "Out of Environment Space"?Primary Software: MATRIXxPrimary Software Version: 6.2 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software:
Problem: When I try to start Xmath it does not start. Instead I get a text window saying "Out of environment space". Alternatively I get the message when using acmake to build an executable after using AutoCode. What can I do to resolve this error? Solution: You should only be getting this error on Windows 95 or 98. In these versions of Windows memory environment variables are not dynamically allocated. To correct the problem allocate more memory by right-clicking on the short-cut and choosing Properties. If you get the error when launching Xmath then right-click on the Xmath shortcut. If you get the error when running the command prompt then right-click on the shortcut used to launch the command prompt. On the memory tab increase the amount of initial environment space. Start with the maximum (Auto will not necessarily work). If you want you can then decrease the amount of space until the error reappears. Related Links: Attachments:
