Problem: How do I install the “Comsoft” PROFIBUS board I bought from NI? Solution: The board comes with a “Comsoft” PROFIBUS driver based on NI-VISA.
· Make sure NI-VISA 4.2 or later is installed on your system.
· Install the “Comsoft” PROFIBUS driver 1.30 or later.
· Shut Down your computer system
· Plug in your “Comsoft” DF PROFI II Slave or Master board and reboot your computer system.
Install the driver software via the Windows “New hardware”- dialog which should pop up automatically after the board is installed.
Select the option to install from the specified location as shown in Figure 1.

Select the “Comsoft” Installation Directory as shown in Figure 2. (C:\Program Files\Comsoft GmbH\Profibus VISA Driver\INF)
