Configuring a LabVIEW 8 Compact Vision System for Vision Builder AI 2.6.1 Primary Software: Vision Builder for Automated InspectionPrimary Software Version: 2.6.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: Image Acquisition (IMAQ)>>Compact Vision System
Problem: I have a Compact Vision System (CVS) that is currently configured to run LabVIEW Real-Time 8.0, but I would like it to work with Vision Builder AI (VBAI) 2.6.1. What is the fastest way to update the CVS with the proper software to work with VBAI 2.6.1? Solution: Because LabVIEW Real-Time 8.0 and Vision Builder for Automated Inspection version 2.6.1 cannot coexist on the CVS you can only have support for one or the other at a given time. The fastest way to update the CVS to work with VBAI is to use the configuration wizard that is built in to VBAI. Follow the steps below to configure your CVS software to work with VBAI through the configuration wizard: 1. From the startup screen of VBAI click on the "Select Network Target . . ." option to start the configuration wizard. 2. Select the CVS you would like to use from the list and click the "Configure" button. 3. Follow through the wizard and accept the defaults until you get to step 3. Then make sure the "Update Target Software" check box is selected and click OK. 4. The wizard will now configure your CVS to work with VBAI 2.6.1 and when it has completed successfully you will see a success message. Related Links: Attachments:
