Sound and Vibration Assistant Does Not Launch After Installation Primary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Sound and Vibration ToolsetPrimary Software Version: 5.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I have installed the NI Sound and Vibration Assistant, but when I try to launch the application, I get an error message. All that happens is that the splash screen comes up and then disappears without the Sound and Vibration Assistant launching. Solution: This happens when the Sound and Vibration Assistant has not been installed correctly. There are a couple of ways that you can fix this issue: 1. Restart the computer A restart is required after installing the Sound and Vibration Assistant, so if that has not been done, then it should fix the issue. 2. Reinstall the Sound and Vibration Assistant On rare occasions, it is possible that a National Instruments service is not running or has been blocked by Windows, which might happen if Windows is not done booting up yet. (There is a link below to a similar issue that can happen with Measurement & Automation Explorer.) If this is the case you can reinstall the Sound and Vibration Assistant from the CD, which will make sure that all of the components are installed. Once it is done installing and your computer has been rebooted, the Sound and Vibration Assistant should launch properly.
