How Do I Find All Terminal Names for an NI-Sync Device?

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-Sync
Primary Software Version: 14.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I want to send a trigger across the PXI backplane from a timing and synchronization module to a PXI device, but I cannot see any of that device's terminal names in the terminal name drop down box. The terminal names are either grayed-out or do not show up at all. An example is shown below.

Solution:
In order for the desired terminal names to show up in the NI-Sync terminal name drop down box, a few steps must be performed.
  1. Wire a constant to the terminal of the NI-Sync vi.
  2. Right-Click the terminal name drop down box and select I/O Name Filtering.
  3. Check the box next to Limit to Device.
  4. Select the name of the desired target device.
  5. Check the box next to Include Advanced Terminals.

  6. Left-Click OK.

Now the desired NI-Sync terminal name will show up under the terminal name drop down box, as shown below.
