Are GPIB Bus Extenders Compatible with Other Extenders?

Hardware: GPIB>>Support Products>>GPIB-130

Problem: Are the GPIB bus extenders compatible with each other? I am trying to use a GPIB-130 with a GPIB-100A and cannot link the two.

Solution: National Instruments bus extenders are intended for use with only the same bus extenders. We do not encourage using two different bus extender models. The reason is that many bus extenders use different protocols to communicate, which means they cannot understand each other.
