Can't obtain a gain of 1000 with SCXI-112x gain set to 1000 using an E Series board and NI-DAQ 4.8.0 in LabVIEW.

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-DAQ
Primary Software Version: 4.8.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems
Hardware: SCXI>>Modules>>SCXI-1120, SCXI>>Modules>>SCXI-1122, SCXI>>Modules>>SCXI-1121

Problem: I have an E Series device and an SCXI-112X module. I set channel 0 on the SCXI-112X module to a gain of 1000 on the module and in software. I set the E Series device to bipolar input range (+-5V). When I run AI Config with input settings of -.005 to .005 and open AI Hardware Config, the gain setting returned for the E Series device is 500. The gain should be 1000. The input limits are set to -.005 and .005, but with this configuration it is impossible to get a gain of 1000. If I set the SCXI-112X module to a gain of 500 or 100, I get a gain of 1000. What can be done to fix this problem?

Solution: This problem has been fixed in NI-DAQ 4.8.5 for Windows 95 and in NI-DAQ 4.9 for Windows 3.1. The gain settings were being improperly calculated from the input settings when a gain of 1000 was used at the SCXI- 112X module.
