Using the SC-2345 in Measurement and Automation Explorer with Traditional DAQ?
Hardware: SCC>>Carriers>>SC-2345
Problem: How do I configure and test the SC-2345 in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) if I am using Traditional DAQ?
Solution: Open MAX and open Devices and Interfaces tab.
- In the Traditional DAQ folder, right click on the device to which the SC-2345 is connected.
- Select properties.
- On the Accessories tab, select SC-2345 from the accessory field.
- Click Configure.
- Highlight the socket you would like to configure and click Add.
- Choose the SCC module for that socket and click OK.
- Click Apply and then click OK to exit out of the Configuring Device Window.
After you complete all these steps, the configuration is done. The SC 2345 device will not show up in MAX under Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) Devices like your DAQ card does. You will need to create a Traditional DAQ Virtual Channel to test your setup. In order to do this,
- Right Click on Data Neighborhood.
- Click on Create New.
- Click on Traditional NI-DAQ Virtual Channel.
- Click Finish.
Once the channel has been created and configured properly, it will appear under
Data Neighborhood » Traditional NI-DAQ Virtual Channels. Right Click on the newly created channel and Click Test.
