Installer Crash During Installation of National Instruments Software

Problem:
Are there any methods to prevent my installer from crashing during the installation of National Instruments software?

Solution:
If a crash occurs during the installation of National Instruments software, there are a few methods that can help to prevent a crash from occurring.  First, copy the installer to a location on the local hard drive and launch the installer again.  If the installation still fails, reference the steps provided below along with the attachment provided.
  1. Unzip the InstallerUpdates.zip to the desktop.
  2. Replace Your installer location\setup.exe with the setup.exe from InstallerUpdates.zip.
  3. Replace Your installer location\Bin\NISysInf.dll with the NISysInf.dll from InstallerUpdates.zip.
  4. Relaunch your installer.  If a crash still occurs, examine the linked KnowledgeBase articles below for other common installer issues.
  5. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, relaunch your installer in error log generation mode, and contact National Instruments Customer Support.  Please provide the name of your Operating System, the name of the installer you are trying to launch, the error log file, and let the Applications Engineer know you have followed the steps in this KnowledgeBase article.
