Installer Crash During Installation of National Instruments Software

Primary Software: NI Installers>>Installer Framework
Primary Software Version: 2.5
Primary Software Fixed Version: 2.5.1
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: How can I prevent my installer from crashing during the installation of my National Instruments software?

Solution:
  1. Copy the installer to your hard drive and launch the installer again.  If it still fails, proceed to step 2.
  2. Unzip the attached InstallerUpdates.zip to your desktop.
  3. Replace [Your installer location]\setup.exe with the setup.exe from InstallerUpdates.zip.
  4. Replace [Your installer location]\Bin\NISysInf.dll with the NISysInf.dll from InstallerUpdates.zip.
  5. Relaunch your installer.  If it still fails, examine the linked KnowledgeBase articles below for other common installer issues.
  6. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, relaunch your installer in error log generation mode, and contact National Instruments Customer Support.  Please provide the name of your Operating System, the name of the installer you are trying to launch, the error log file, and let the Applications Engineer know you have followed the steps in this KnowledgeBase article.
