BTAVUI Error 0x37 opening WAV Driver on Windows Mobile 5 PDA after Installing LabVIEW WIDCOMM Bluetooth Support Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>PDA ModulePrimary Software Version: 8.2 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I installed Bluetooth support to my HP IPAQ 279xb PDA, but now whenever I reset the PDA or enable Bluetooth, I get BTAVUI Error 0x37 opening WAV Driver. The Bluetooth VI's I compiled to the PDA do not work correctly either. The applications fail with Bt connect error code: 2.Solution: The WIDCOMM drivers that can be installed from the LabVIEW project are older then the Broadcomm drivers that are shipped with the IPAQ 2790b and 2795b PDAs. The LabVIEW installer replaces those drivers and they must be recovered to alleviate this error. If you have already completed the installation from the LabVIEW project, you need to perform a Clean Reset on the PDA to bring the PDA back to it's factory conditions. This repairs the PDA Bluetooth drivers. The steps for performing a PDA Clean Reset can be found in the PDA owner's manual. On these IPAQ PDA's, you will not install Bluetooth support from the LabVIEW project. In order to enable Bluetooth support for LabVIEW applications, you need to copy the LVBtw.dll from the directory on your PC to the /Windows directory on the PDA. After copying the LVBtw.dll to the PDA, you should be able to restart the PDA and enable Bluetooth without any errors. Related Links: KnowledgeBase: Does LabVIEW for PDA Support Bluetooth?
