Problem: When I try to add a new channel to NI OPC Servers, I get the following set of errors. Why does this happen? NI OPC Servers - [untitled.opf]: ServerMain.exe - Unable To Locate Component This application has failed to start because CIF32DLL.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. NI OPC Servers - [untitled.opf]: ServerMain.exe - Unable To Locate Component This application has failed to start because mbxapi.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. NI OPC Servers - [untitled.opf]: ServerMain.exe - Unable To Locate Component This application has failed to start because netlib.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Solution: This is a known error when you create a new channel in NI OPC Servers after installing LabVIEW 8.5.1. To remove the error, go to <National Instruments>\Shared\NI OPC Servers\ and rename the file customlicensing.dll to customlicensing.dll.bak. Close and reopen NI OPC Servers.
