Error:[IM_ERR_NEOM] When Acquiring an Image Using NI-IMAQ 2.5 Primary Software: Driver Software>>Vision Acquisition SoftwarePrimary Software Version: N/A Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: Driver Software>>NI-IMAQ Hardware: Image Acquisition (IMAQ)>>Analog Image Devices
Problem: When I try to acquire an image using PXI-1409 in MAX, it returns an error message:"[IM_ERR_NEOM] there is not enough onboard memory to peform the requested operation." Also the hardware fails the diagnostics in MAX. Is something wrong with my PXI-1409? Solution: Run IMAQBoot.exe at startup after installing the IMAQ driver. This re-syncs the driver to the hardware in the system registry and initialize the chips on the IMAQ board. As of NI-IMAQ 3.0 it is not necessary to run this executable to initialize and re-sync your driver to your framegrabber. If possible you should upgrade to the most recent version of the NI-IMAQ driver that supports your framegrabber and operating system. If you disable IMAQBoot.exe in the windows MSCONFIG»Startup, you will see the above error and hardware will fail 2 items in the diagnostics. If hardware fails the diagnostics even after running IMAQBoot.exe, the board may be bad and in need of repair. Related Links: Drivers and Updates: Vision Software All Versions Attachments:
