Problem: Can I use NI Volume License Manager 1.0 on Windows NT 4.0? Solution: NI Volume License Manager 1.0 will install on Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 6a or greater. If you try to install on NT without the network stack installed (meaning that the computer has never had an ethernet card installed) the installation of NI Volume License Manager will fail with the following error: NI Volume License Manager installation has failed. Continue?The error appears because NI Volume License Manager requires an NT component which is part of the network stack. Therefore, NI Volume License Manager cannot install because NT does not provide a prerequisite component. Even if you continue NI Volume License Manager installation, the program will not install. If you see this error message, you should install a network card on that NT machine. In general, NI Volume License Manager should be used on machines that are accessible over the network.
