Problem: I only want to calibrate certain parts of my hardware. Is there some way skip certain steps? Solution: Some users only want to run certain tests for their hardware. For example, if I only use the analog inputs on my E-series board, then I might not want to take the time to calibrate the digital or analog outputs. The calibration procedures are TestStand sequence files that step through the multiple calibration steps for each product. Since Calibration Executive ships with the TestStand RTE and not a full sequence editor, the procedures (TestStand Sequence files) cannot be modified with the software included. With a full version of TestStand, a user could open the sequences and skip or change any part of the test they need. This would allow customers to customize the steps that are preformed during calibration. If the user opens the sequence file in TestStand, then highlights the selected step, they have the option of setting the run mode. One of these options is Skip. This will leave the step in the test incase they want to use that functionality later, but will skip over the individual step until it is set to run. Related Links: Attachments:
