Release Codes for Version 9, 8, 7 or 6 (2001) of Electronics Workbench Products

Primary Software: Electronics Workbench>>Multisim
Primary Software Version: 9.x
Primary Software Fixed Version: 9.x
Secondary Software: Electronics Workbench>>Ultiboard

Problem:

How do I get a release code for my Electronics Workbench Product version 9, 8, 7 or 6 (2001)?

Solution:

The preferred method is to use the online form. Please go to the former Electronics Workbench Website and at the bottom of the page you will see a note saying:

Support: Online Release Code Generator for versions prior to 10.0.

Click on that link and you will be presented with the Online Release Code Generator, fill out the form completely, make sure the information you type-in is accurate and click the Submit button. The Online Form will typically respond within 1 to 4 hrs to the email that was given when filling up the form.

If you are not sure what the Signature Code is, please launch the application and on the initial screen (where you get prompted to type in a release code) you will see that the Signature Code is displayed there. It is important to give the correct Signature Code in order to get the correct Release Code.

Please note that if you are re-installing the software, and you get the same Signature Code as before, you are able to use the same Release Code that you were previously using, you do not need to get a new one.

If for any reason, the Online Release Code Generator is not working or did not replied with the release code you can send an email to releasecodes@ni.com you will need to include on your email the exact same information that is requested in the Online Form (name, address, phone, serial number, signature code).

The Online Release Code Generator will work only for Versions 9, 8, 7 or 6 (2001).

Multisim, Ultiboard and the Multisim MCU Module version 10 and higher are now using NI License Manager, the preferred way of activating this new software is by going to Start » Programs » National Instruments » NI License Manager, and click the Activate button in the toolbar. Follow the instructions, if you are connected to the internet select the first option, if you are not connected to the internet you can select the Phone, Email, Web browser or Fax options. No matter what option you select, you will be given a set of instructions on how to finish your activation.
