What Viewing Options in the Web Publishing Tool are Supported with Real-Time Targets?

Primary Software:
Primary Software Version: 8.2
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I am using LabVIEW Real-Time (RT) and want to publish the front panels of my embedded VIs to the web. I have followed the instructions in the documents linked below, but am having problems seeing the image in the web page for the embedded VI. What could be causing this?

Solution:
The most common cause for this is the use of an unsupported viewing option. When using the Web Publishing Tool in LabVIEW, there is a Viewing Options pull-down menu. The options in this menu are Embedded, Snapshot, and Monitor. Real-Time targets support only the Embedded viewing option. This is because on a Real-Time target the front panel does not exist, which means there will be nothing to take a snapshot of. This is the same reason why certain method and property nodes that refer to the front panel are not supported on Real-Time targets.

Another possible cause for this behavior is that when using the Embedded viewing option, you must have the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine installed on any computer viewing the embedded front panel through the web.
