After Installing Motion Assistant 1.2 or the Driver CD My 73xx NI-Motion Board(s) No Longer Install

Problem:
I have recently installed drivers from either the Motion Assistant 1.2 installer or the November 2004 Driver CD. Though my motion controller board previously worked, it no longer functions. Why is this?

Solution:
The November 2004 Driver CD and Motion Assistant 1.2 both install NI-Motion 6.1.4 driver. If you had previously updated to NI-Motion 6.1.5, installing NI-Motion 6.1.4 (or any other previous version of NI-Motion) can potentially break the driver. This problem can be resolved by reinstalling the NI-Motion 6.1.5 driver. The webpage for current NI-Motion drivers is linked below.

Note: Other versions of the Driver CD could install other older versions of the NI-Motion which would have the same effect.
