Does the Number of Analog Inputs/Outputs on a Motion Controller Depend on Axes Available?

Hardware: Motion Control>>Controllers>>PCI-7330, Motion Control>>Controllers>>PCI-7350, Motion Control>>Controllers>>PCI-7340

Problem:
I have an NI PCI-7342 motion controller and I see that there are 4 analog inputs & 4 analog outputs available on the Motion I/O connector. Do I have access to all of these analog signals or am I limited by the number of axes I have (i.e. 2 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs)?

Solution:
In regards to analog signals, it does not matter how many axes you have. You will always have access to the total available number of analog inputs and outputs for that particular motion controller model. Here are the number of available analog input and output lines for each card:

NI  Motion Controller
Analog Inputs
Analog Outputs
733x
4 0
734x
4 4
735x*
8 8

NOTE: The 735x has two motion I/O connectors with 4 analog inputs and 4 analog outputs on each.

For example, a 7352 has 8 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs you can control, even though you can only have 2 axes of motion.  This holds true for all boards and all axis configurations.
