Missing Instrument Driver VIs or Icons

Primary Software: Instrument Drivers/IVI>>IVI Driver Templates
Primary Software Version: 1.52
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
Why are my instrument driver VIs or icons missing in the LabVIEW instrument I/O palette?

Solution:
Instrument Drivers are meant to simplify the programming experience when trying to interact with an instrument. The instrument drivers have to be placed within the \National Instruments\LabVIEW X.X\instr.lib\ directory once they are downloaded and unzipped. Then close and open LabVIEW. Open the Functions Palette and navigate to Instrument I/O » Instrument Drivers to view the instrument driver that was installed. If the driver is missing within this palette, then try the following fix.

The driver could have been made for a previous version of LabVIEW. If it is a project-style driver, then open the project in the new version of LabVIEW and save it. This ensures that the VIs are converted to the new format. If the driver is not in the project format, you will have to Mass Compile the directory by going to Tools » Advanced » Mass Compile. This KnowledgeBase talks about what a Mass Compile does.

Now, close LabVIEW completely and open. Check to see if the instrument driver can be seen within the Instrument I/O Palette.
