How Do I Set Interface Name for the Camera on Each Port of PCIe-1430?

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-IMAQ
Primary Software Version: 2.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: Image Acquisition (IMAQ)>>Digital Image Devices>>PCIe-1430

Problem:
I have two camera connected to my Dual Channel Camera Link PCIe-1430.  How do I set the Interface Names in LabVIEW to acquire from each of the cameras?

Solution:
When you initialize the IMAQ session in LabVIEW with the IMAQ Init.vi, you have to wire in an Interface Name to specify which camera you are acquiring from.  Interface Name always identifies a single port of an image acquisition device. A port identifies a single independent data stream from a camera. All NI image acquisition devices support at least one port. Devices that support multiple ports can sustain independent and asynchronous acquisitions from the cameras on each port.

The port number may be explicitly identified by using the :: operator to append the port number suffix to the interface name. As an example, let's assume that in Measurement & Automation Explorer, the PCIe-1430 is listed as "img0", with Ports 0 and 1 for each of the connected cameras. In order to acquire from the camera connected to Port 0, use the Interface Name of img0::0. To acquire from a camera connected to Port 1, use the Interface Name of img0::1.

You can also find this information and more in the NI-IMAQ Reference Help file for the IMAQ Init.vi.
