Upgrading Disconnected Licenses Created From NI Volume License ManagerPrimary Software: Other NI Software>>NI Volume License ManagerPrimary Software Version: 2.1.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I used NI Volume License Manager to create a disconnected license for one of my client computers. However, we have installed a new version of the software and it does not work with the existing disconnected license. How can we use this new software with a disconnected license? Solution: When you receive the new software and your new agreement license file, you should prepare the software for use with NI Volume License Manager as usual using the Create Volume License Installer option. You must first reconnect the computer with the disconnected license so you can edit the computer's properties and permissions. Assign the computers any additional permissions for the new software by right-clicking the computers in the list and choosing Properties. Then you will need to generate a new disconnected license that contains the correct products and versions. Make sure to delete the original disconnected license from the client machine so the products are using the most recent license file. Related Links: Attachments:
