Specifications for the Output Signals of the NI 142x IMAQ Boards

Hardware: Image Acquisition (IMAQ)>>Digital Image Devices>>PCI-1422

Problem:
I want to make my own interface from a non-standard camera to the NI 142x IMAQ board. The manual contains some specifications for the data signals and triggers, but I would like a little more information regarding the specifications of these signals, such as the maximum voltage and current and start up state of trigger lines. What other information is available?

Solution:
Trigger Lines

The state of the triggers at start-up is high and the boards will allow you to have two simultaneous pulses generated.  This holds true for both the Low Voltage Differential Signal (LVDS) and RS-422 versions of each parallel-digital framegrabber.

LVDS Specifications

The LVDS versions of each framegrabber accept signals which follow the IEEE specifications for LVDS, also known as EIA-644.  The following table list the maximum and minimum voltage and current that each framegrabber can accept:

 Specification Min Max
 Current 2.47 mA 4.54 mA
 Differential Voltage
 Magnitude
247 mV
454 mV
 Offset Voltage
 (Common Mode)
1.125 V 1.375 V
