Why Do I Get Error 80040154 When Launching TestStand After an Installation? Primary Software: TestStandPrimary Software Version: 4.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I just installed TestStand and when I try to launch it I get the following error: Retrieving COM class factory for component with CLSID {B2794EF6-C0B6-11D0-939C-0020AF68E893} - failed due to the following error: 80040154. Why do I get this error message and how do I fix it? Solution: This error can occur if the TestStand installation did not set an active version of TestStand. In order to fix this problem, simply open up the TestStand Version Selector tool and set the active version.
