Why does Multisim Gives me a Jet Database Engine Error Message?

Primary Software: Electronics Workbench>>Multisim
Primary Software Version: 9.x
Primary Software Fixed Version: 9.x
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
When I login to Windows as Administrator, Multisim works perfectly. However, when someone with a User account logs in, they get a Jet Database Engine error message.

Solution:
When someone with a User account opens Multisim and gets:

The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file '<EWB9>\Database\mscomp_s.prd'. It is already open exclusively by another user, or you need permission to views its data;

this indicates a user permission problem. In order to fix it, please follow these instructions:
  1. Login with an administrator account
  2. Navigate to <EWB 9>\Database, then right click on the mscomp_s.prd file.
  3. Select Properties on the dialog box
  4. Select Security tab » Add » Find Now, locate the user group or user name and click on the OK button. If you do not see the Security tab, go into your Control Panel and along the top menu select Tools » Folders Options » View, scroll down to the last option and uncheck use simple file sharing
  5. Under the Security tab, highlight the user group you just added and under the Allow column, check all boxes
