Why Does My Ultiboard Footprint Not Show Up in the Multisim User Database?

Primary Software: Electronics Workbench>>Multisim
Primary Software Version: 9.x
Primary Software Fixed Version: 9.x
Secondary Software: Electronics Workbench>>Ultiboard

Problem:
I created a footprint in Ultiboard and want to link it to a symbol in Multisim, but it does not show up in the Multisim user database.

Solution:
After creating a footprint in Ultiboard you need to define this footprint in Multisim as well. Complete the following steps to define the footprint in Multisim:
  1. In Multisim, place the symbol on the work area.
  2. Double click the symbol and select Edit Component in DB»Footprint.
  3. Click Add from Database.
  4. Under Database Name select User Database.
  5. Click the Add button.
  6. An Add a Footprint dialog should appear. In the Footprint field, type the name of the footprint and be sure the check your spelling. Leave the Ultiboard Layout field empty but add information for the other fields. Once finished click OK.
  7. Press Select to select the footprint you just defined.
  8. Press OK to save to component to your database.
