LabVIEW SignalExpress Crashes During Data Acquisition

Primary Software: LabVIEW SignalExpress>>Development System
Primary Software Version: N/A
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
My SignalExpress project crashes while running a DAQmx acquire.  What are the available workarounds?

Solution:
There are two basic causes for this crash.  Both have been reported to the SignalExpress R&D team, and workarounds can be found below.

Scenario 1:  The project crashes when acquiring N-samples while recording.

This crash can be avoided by changing the "Prepare log data for viewing” option.
  1. Navigate to Tools » Options.
  2. Select the Logging category.
  3. Change the Prepare log data for viewing option to During logging or Never.
  4. Click OK.
Scenario 2: The project crashes after a DAQmx timeout error while recording.

This crash can be avoided by eliminating the timeout error, or by changing the "Prepare log data for viewing” option (please refer to the steps above).

To eliminate the timeout, ensure that the timeout value allows enough time for the DAQmx Acquire step to acquire all of the data.  Timeout should be greater than Samples to Read divided by Sample Rate.  For more information on DAQmx timeouts, please see the KnowledgeBase article Why Do I Get Error -200284 from my DAQmx Read VI? linked below.
