Why Do I Receive Error -200619 When Trying To Acquire Data With Multiple SCXI Modules?

Hardware: SCXI>>Chassis>>SCXI-1000, SCC>>Modules

Problem: I am trying to acquire data with multiple National Instruments Data Acquision cards and multiple SCXI modules in a single chassis.

I have connected each card to each module in a parallel configuration but when I try to run my application I get "Error -200619: Chassis cannot be used for more than one scanning operation at the same time." How can I resolve this?

Solution: This error is caused by one of two things:

  • The modules are not configured for parallel mode in software, even though they are physically connected in a parallel configuration.
  • The modules you are trying to acquire data with do not support parallel mode.
You will need to verify that the modules you are using support the parallel digitization mode and that you have properly set this attribute in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX).

See the links below for information on setting the digitization mode of the module in MAX as well as which SCXI modules support parallel mode.
