Activation and Serial Number Information for Evaluation Software

Problem:
I recently installed an evaluation version of a National Instruments software product. How can I obtain a serial number or activation information for this software?

Solution:
A valid serial number will be required in order to activate the software and allow it to be used beyond the 30-day trial period that most evaluation software provides.

Examples of National Instruments evaluation software which may require activation include the following:
  • NI LabVIEW
  • NI LabWindows™/CVI
  • NI Measurement Studio
  • NI TestStand
  • NI DIAdem
  • NI Multisim
  • Other Evaluation Software - please refer to the Related Links section.
A serial number for your product is provided to you when you purchase a full copy (license) of the software. If you have not purchased a license for the software or are unable to locate a serial number for a license you have previously purchased, you can contact our sales department to purchase a new serial number or search for your old one.

Note: Measurement Studio does not use activation; therefore, you must uninstall the evaluation version before installing a purchased copy.
