Why do I get an error "Variable is undefined - SQL_CONNECT" while using SQL in DIAdem?

Primary Software: DIAdem
Primary Software Version: 8.00
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: I am trying to use SQL commands in my VBScript in DIAdem. I have registered the database as an ODBC source. However, I get a "Variable is undefined - SQL_CONNECT" for even connecting to the database source. Am I doing anything wrong?

Solution: ODBC support is not initialized by default when DIAdem starts. You need to add GFSODBC.DLL to the list of GPI extensions in DIAdem. To do this, goto Settings->GPI-DLL registration->Add-> and select GFSODBC.DLL at "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\DIAdem 8.00\AddInfo\gfsodbc.dll". Then hit the "Close" button and take all the defaults (keep saying YES). DIAdem will eventually shut itself down and restart with the SQL Toolkit activated.
