Why Can't I Find My VBAI Inspection Folder?

Primary Software: Vision Builder for Automated Inspection
Primary Software Version: 3.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: I'm used to Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI) 2.6. When I saved an inspection it would be saved in a folder, and the folder's name would have the current date and time. Now after upgrading to VBAI 3.0 or later, when I save an inspection in VBAI I can't find the folder.

Solution:

As of version 3.0, VBAI saves inspections in a different manner compared to VBAI 2.6 and prior:

  • In VBAI 2.6 all of the necessary files for an inspection were saved in a folder. The name of the folder corresponded to the time at which it was saved. This folder could be moved/copied to another computer and opened in VBAI 2.6.
  • As of VBAI 3.0 the program now saves it's inspections in a simpler way. When you save an inspection, it is saved as a single file with the extension .vbai in the location that you specify.
