What is the Calibration Cycle For a Switch Module?Hardware: Switches
Problem: Do I have to periodically calibrate my switch module? Solution: No, there are no parts of a switch module that require periodic calibration. There is therefore no calibration cycle for these devices. The relays do however have an expected relay life, which can be found in the specifications. The expected relay life is specified as the number of expected cycles at a given DC voltage and current. The following screenshot shows the expected relay life specifications for the PXI-2575 switch module.
To determine if a relay is end of life, it is possible to measure the path resistance over each relay and compare this resistance to the specified values in the specifications of the switch module. The PXI-2575 end of life path resistance specifications are shown in the screenshot below.
