Setting Transparent Backgrounds for ComponentWorks Automation Symbols

Problem: How do I set the background color to be transparent on a ComponentWorks Automation Symbol object?

Solution: Ensure you have the ComponentWorks (CW) Automation Symbol Toolkit installed and added to your Visual Basic (VB) environment. Follow these steps:
  1. Place a CW Automation Symbol object on the VB Form.
  2. Right-click on the object and select Propertries from the pop-up menu.
  3. In the Property menu, click the tab that has the name of the object (e.g., Motor).
  4. Enable the Windowless checkbox and ensure the Back Color pulldown menu has Window Background set under System Color.

Note: The Automation Symbol object will not be transparent until the application has been run once.
