The Historical Database Resolution Field in Lookout 6.0 Primary Software: LookoutPrimary Software Version: 6.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I just finished configuring a data member for logging in Lookout 6.0, and I noticed that there are some changes in the data member configuration window from Lookout 5.1. The lifespan field has been replaced with the resolution field. What happened to the lifespan field and what is the resolution field? Solution: There were changes to the data member configuration dialog window options. The graphics below show the difference: Lookout 6.0 data member configuration window Lookout 5.1 data member configuration window Lookout 6.0 no longer gives you the option to set the lifespan on a per data member basis; however, you can set the lifespan for each process. You can modify the process life span by right clicking the process in the object explorer and choosing Properties. The resolution field is used for setting the precision of the data to be logged. For example, setting a resolution of 0.001 would log 3 decimal places. For more information on the resolution settings see the Lookout help. Related Links: Lookout 6.0 Release Notes Attachments:
