Why Can I Not See 4 Channels in VirtualBench-DSA 2.5 Using My Four Channel NI 4552 Dynamic Signal Analyzer (DSA)?

Primary Software: Other NI Software>>VirtualBench
Primary Software Version: 2.5
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software:

Problem: VirtualBench-DSA version 2.5 that comes with NI-DSA version 1.0 shows only 2 channels for the NI 4552 boards. The NI 4552 has four input channels, and you should be able to use them on VirtualBench-DSA. The problem is that in VirtualBench 2.5 even though you can select channels 2 and 3 (as blue and red by default), you will only be able to see the first two channels 0 and 1 (green and yellow by default). Even if you select all four channels, channels 2 and 3 will show the same waveform as channels 0 and 1.

Solution: This is fixed in version 1.0.1 or later of NI-DSA. This CD also includes the respective fix for VirtualBench. The new VirtualBench-DSA is version 2.51
