Migrating the TestStand User Configuration File After Upgrading

Problem:
I have upgraded to a newer version of TestStand, but I want to migrate the User configurations from a previous version. Is this possible?

Solution:
You can migrate the User configurations from a previous version to TestStand to an upgraded version of TestStand by pointing to the User configuration file instead of using the Default User configuration file.

Migrating the TestStand User Configuration File
  1. Open  the upgraded version of TestStand
  2. Select Configure»Station Options



  3. Select the User Manager tab
  4. Deselect Use Default
  5. Browse to the User Configuration file you would like to use



  6. Select OK

NOTE: You will need to completely close and reopen TestStand for these changes to take effect.
