GPIB-RS232 or GPIB-RS485 Converter Communication in C Mode

Hardware: GPIB>>External Controllers/Convertors>>GPIB-RS232, GPIB>>External Controllers/Convertors>>GPIB-RS485

Problem:
Why can't I communicate with my GPIB device after I set up my GPIB-RS232 or GPIB-RS485 converter in C Mode?

Solution:
In the NI GPIB-Serial Converter Wizard, you must select the primary address of your instrument (not the converter) as the GPIB Primary Address as shown in the screenshot below.

 

Note: C Mode can only be used if you have ONE GPIB instrument connected to the bus.
