Temperature Readings With NI-9211 Are Off By Some DegreesPrimary Software: Driver Software>>NI-RIOPrimary Software Version: 2.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: CompactRIO>>Analog Input Modules>>NI 9211
Problem: When using the NI-9211 temperature module, I can see that there is a couple of degrees error at very high or very low temperatures. Why is this? Solution: The module itself works fine. The problem is with the VIs used for converting the data from binary values to engineering units. Inside these VIs there is an equation that has an error due to an approximation. The error that this approximation gives is a linear error, that is why at high or low temperatures you can see the error. To fix this problem, download the attached files and replace the existing 9211 Support Files.llb file with the new one.
