How Do I Get the Timestamp for SignalExpress Generated TDMS File in DIAdem? Primary Software: DIAdemPrimary Software Version: 10.2 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: LabVIEW Signal Express>>Development System
Problem: I want to analyze SignalExpress logged data in DIAdem. The data is there, but I can't find any timestamp, even though the timing information is stored in the meta file. Where can I get an explicit timestamp channel in DIAdem? Solution: When importing the SignalExpress generated TDMS file in DIAdem, the data is opened as waveform channels by default. The sine wave icon right next to the channel name indicates that. In order to have an explicit X-axis channel, there are two methods. First, one can convert the waveform channel into numeric channel by going to the analysis tab and use Analysis»Channel Functions»Numeric Channel<->Waveform channels. Now the waveform channel is converted to two numeric channels, one for data and the other for timestamp. One can always convert the data channel back to waveform using the same channel function. Alternatively, one can go to Settings»Options»General.. in DIAdem and click Compatibility. Check Convert waveform channel to chanel pair during loading. As a result, when waveform data is loaded into DIAdem, it will be divided into time and data automatically.
