Should I Format my RT Controller to FAT or FAT32 File System?Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Real-Time ModulePrimary Software Version: 8.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers>>PXI-8145 RT
Problem: I am formating the non-volatile memory [i.e Hard Disk or Compact Flash] of my RT controller and I have 3 options for the file sytem format: FAT, FAT32 or NTFS. Which one should I choose? Solution: LabVIEW RT will not work with NTFS file system and hence should not be selected. Compact Flash Based RT controllers such as PXI-8145 should be formatted into FAT file system. Any Non-Compact flash based RT controllers should be formatted into FAT32 file system. Note: FAT file system is also known as FAT16 Related Links: KnowledgeBase 2WNCGUQS.
