Problem: I have a switch object in my Lookout process, and I can successfully read it in Server Explorer. But, when I try to write to it, I receive the following message: "The Items AccessRights does not allow the operation". Solution: If you specify an object without specifying a data member, you are implying the implicit data member. Because the implicit data members are read-only, you cannot write to them or make a remote connection to them. For example, to specify the position of a Switch as a read/write value, you would use the Switch's value data member.
