Error -70119: The Desired Move Cannot be CompletedPrimary Software: Driver Software>>NI-Motion/FlexMotionPrimary Software Version: 4.5 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: Utility Software>>Measurement & Automation Explorer Hardware: Motion Control>>Controllers
Problem: When my axis tries to make a move I receive Error -70119 (NIMC_limitSwitchActiveError) The desired move cannot be completed because the limit input is active in the direction of travel. Solution: There are two main reasons to receive this error. One, if the wiring of the limit switch is not correct; and two, if you try to make a move further into the active limit switch. Wiring If the polarity of the limit switch does not match the settings in MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer) the settings must be reversed (e.g. from active low polarity to active high polarity). Or, if the forward limit switch is connected to the input of the reverse limit switch and vice versa. The error may also occur when no limit switches are connected. Moving into the Switch If the limit switch is active, and you attempt to start a move towards this limit switch, the error may occur. To prevent the error in this case, verify that the software is programmed properly. Note: If the wiring, MAX configuration, and the programming are correct, check the version of your NI-Motion driver. In NI-Motion 6.0 there was an issue with this error that was fixed in later versions.
