NI Hardware Driver Library Does Not Show Up in LabWindows/CVI

Problem:
After installing NI hardware drivers (NI-DAQmx, IMAQ Vision, etc.) the Library specific to this software does not show up in LabWindows/CVI. Why does this happen, and how can I add and use the Library?

Solution:
If you have NI-DAQmx installed for a previous version of LabWindows/CVI and then install a newer version of LabWindows/CVI and re-install NI-DAQmx, the NI-DAQmx installer will not install support for new version of LabWindows/CVI. This is because the installer will see that you already have NI-DAQmx support installed for the previous version of LabWindows/CVI. If you have installed a driver for a newer version of CVI and the library no longer shows up in an older version, you can follow the steps below.

In CVI select Library»Customize. . .
Browse to your ni[driver].lfp file. It is usually located in the folder <National Instruments>\CVIXX\bin or <National Instruments>\Share\CVI\bin. You may have to select Show all files *.* optto see the *.lfp format.
Select the desired .lfp file.
Restart CVI for the changes to take effect.

The NI hardware drivers should now be a selection under the Library Menu in LabWindows/CVI.
