Problem: What are the differences between VI Logger Lite and VI Logger Full?
Solution: VI Logger is stand-alone application to acquire, view, log, and share data. VI Logger 2.0 comes in two versions: Full and Lite. There is one installation for both packages. Purchasing and installing the license will unlock the features of the full version.
VI Logger 2.0 (Full) Features:- Includes Traditional and NI-DAQmx support
- LabVIEW code generation (you must have LabVIEW 7.1 or later to view and run these VI’s)
- Export Data to Excel
- VI Logger only interface (only works with NI-DAQmx devices. For a screenshot see the attached .bmp
VI Logger Lite Features:- VI Logger Lite is a subset of VI Logger 2.0
- VI Logger Lite will ship with every NI-DAQmx supported device beginning with NI-DAQ 7.4. VI Logger Lite is free to customers who have purchased an M series board since NI-DAQ 7.4 was introduced. It is not a free download. However, if you have purchased an M series board in the past there will be a promotional offering to download a copy of VI Logger Lite
