What Is the Slew Rate For an NI-9264 Analog Output Module?

Hardware: CompactRIO>>Analog Output Modules>>NI 9264

Problem:
What is the slew rate for the NI-9264 analog output module?  The slew rate is listed in the NI-9263 manual, but no value is given in the NI-9264 manual.

Solution:
Like the NI-9263, the slew rate for the NI-9264 analog output module is 4V/us.

It should be noted however that the slew rate is just the maximum rate of change of voltage.  It is just a linear approximation of a logarithmic charge buildup rate that is accurate only at zero volts, and is valid for about 75% of the voltage range centered around zero volts.  As the output voltage approaches the upper or lower limits of the voltage range (-10V and +10V for the NI-9264), the rate of change of voltage logarithmically approaches zero.

If your application approaches the limits of the voltage output range, the settling time specification, which can be found in the manual, is a much better indicator of the total time it takes to go from zero volts to the voltage limit, plus or minus one standard deviation (385uV for the NI-9264).
