Using the BNC-2090 with a DAQ Card Which Has Eight Analog OutputsHardware: Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Connector Blocks>>BNC-2090
Problem: I want to use a DAQ card with eight analog output channels along with the BNC-2090. Is this possible? Solution: Yes, the BNC-2090 can be used with DAQ cards which have eight analog outputs and makes for a great rack-mountable solution. The BNC-2090 has physical terminals for 15 single ended analog input connections, 2 analog output, along with trigger, digital, and PFI lines. Although the 15 single ended terminals are typically used as analog inputs, they can also be used as analog outputs. This is because the pinouts for the analog outputs on cards which have 8 analog outputs map to the analog input pins on a regular DAQ card. Please see the pinout pictures attached for an example: 6281 (DAQ card) versus 6733 (Analog Output card) From the chart below, we can see that analog outputs 0 & 1 are identical for both cards. The key is that each analog input differential pair (0&8, 1&9, 2&10, etc) map up directly to an analog output pin and an analog output ground.
