Can I Use Nested Sequences in Test Executive?

Primary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Test Executive
Primary Software Version: 5.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: How do I call a Sequence within a Sequence in Test Executive?

Solution: Here's how to use Nested Sequences:
  1. Launch LabVIEW Test Executive.

  2. Log in as a developer and press EDIT to launch the Sequence Editor.

  3. Select New Step.

  4. Choose Select Resource and browse to the sequence you want to launch within the Main Sequence. You must specify to browse all files as the Test Executive will be looking for a .vi file.

  5. Name the Step.

  6. In the Type ring check sequence. The icon next to the step should now be a folder instead of a vi icon, indicating that the step is a sequence in inself.

  7. Save and Exit the Sequence Editor.

Note: National Instruments has replaced the Test Executive toolkits with a product called TestStand, which contains many new features and expanded capabilities. If you need to upgrade Test Executive, we encourage you to upgrade to TestStand instead.
