Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) Documentation Omits Setting for S Series Device Gain

Problem: When setting the gain for S Series devices, you must pass an integer input with some of the functions. The Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) Function Reference Help does not indicate which integer input to set to achieve a gain of .2 for S Series devices. Which value should I pass?

Solution: The Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) Function Reference Help should indicate that you must pass a value of -2 to achieve the .2 gain when using the following functions:

• AI_Read
>AI_VRead
• DAQ_VScale
• AI_Setup
• DAQ_Op
• DAQ_Start
• DAQ_Start
• DAQ_to_Disk
