Problem: When I try to self-test or use a DAQ device installed in a LabVIEW Real-time system with NI-DAQmx 8.7.1 I get the following error message: Error -88716 occurred at Test Panel Possible Reason(s): The requested operation failed because the versions of a driver installed on the local and the remote system are different. Update the driver so the versions on the two systems are the same. Solution: NI-DAQmx 8.7.1f2 has a known issue that causes this error. NI-DAQmx 8.7.1f3 resolves this issue. If you are getting this error confirm that you have NI-DAQmx 8.7.1f2 installed and then download and install NI-DAQmx 8.7.1f3. After downloading and installing NI-DAQmx 8.7.1f3 update NI-DAQmx on the LabVIEW Real-time target. To determine which version of NI-DAQmx is currently installed on your host system open Measurement and Automation and expand the Software section under My System.
