Reading and Writing TDM/TDMS Files
Primary Software: DIAdem
Primary Software Version: 10.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: How can I read and write TDM/TDMS files with software products that do not belong to the National Instruments set of products (such as LabVIEW, DIAdem, etc.)?
Solution: We offer the following solutions to this issue:
- Here you can find detailed information about the TDM Data Model.
- For reading and writing TDM/TDMS files with other programs you can download the TDM C-DLL free of charge from the NI Web site.
- Use the TDM Header Writer DLL to create a TDM header for existing binary files.
- In Microsoft Excel you can load TDM/TDMS files directly with the free Excel-Addin.
- If you want to load your TDM/TDMS files using The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® software, read the article Reading TDM/TDMS Files with The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® Software.
- To load external file formats in DIAdem or LabVIEW, you can create DataPlugins. For many frequently used file formats DataPlugins already exist, which you can download from www.ni.com/dataplugins onto your computer free of charge.
